The tools are great but the real benefit in analytics is in the insights and the mindset - if you were to sell yourself right now, what ar e you telling people that your skills and accomplishments are besides making some pretty dashboard in power BI?

Perhaps there is someone in the role that you want that can take you under their wing and give you a more entry job? I hate to say it but if the leap is too far you might need to take a lateral or backwards stepping move.

Just got an email that my bonus would be docked by $50 per day per occurrence for not logging in my time entries to be equal to 7 hours. WTF. I hate this shit. What do you all do when you bill 12 hours one day and 4 hours the next day? No chance in hell I’m logging 3 hours of vacation time for the difference! Also, fuck you timesheets.

However it’s been hard to find a good solid salary range on Glassdoor/other sites for a lead. I was told they pay by experience/education not by “title”. I’m staffed on a case going to trial in a few weeks, and another associate is also on the case. We’re both mid levels. One of the partners told me the other associate’s work was bad, so for efficiency he wants me to review and edit all of the other associate’s work product (including draft motions) and bring it up to standard before the partners see it. How is this possible? I can’t see myself having time to do any assignments of my own if I have to review the all of other associate’s work.
