I mean, he has a point. Why should we worry about Russia’s special operation to liberate Ukraine - a proud country that has never accused me of being racist btw - when millions of MS-13 and Antifa are slipping through the southern border every day?
Time for the RINOs to stop their wokery and become AWAKE!

Awesome so those of us that are responsible and pay for insurance can continue to cover the expenses of those that choose to roll the dice.

Imagine going through life being this aloof 😂
You have a sliver of truth C1 but zoom out and think of the business case for this decision. Remembering that the credit agencies would lose credibility if they misrepresent borrowers to lenders.
I’m reading this more so that the healthcare system from service performance to pricing to billing to collections has become so disconnected from reality that it provides no added value to determining credit ratings. Which is wild to think about. In fact even if the decision originated with the CFPB. The evidence was sufficient for them to make a convincing case.
So true. People hate their insurance providers but love their local hospital networks and doctors.

Republicans, probably: you shouldn’t have had ankles
Unless you’ve properly blessed your ankles for maximum Jesusness of course
I have a very similar story. Almost one month into getting my first job out of college I was in a car accident as a passenger and ended up falling into a ravine 20 feet. We ended up in the emergency room and ended up weeks in the hospital. Had reconstructive surgery and a lot of rehabilitation so I can walk again.
Because I hadn’t been there an entire 30 days insurance didn’t kick in and this was before Obamacare so I couldn’t be covered by my parents.
For 8 years, I couldn’t buy a house I couldn’t even get a car because my credit score was so bad. I thought I’d never get out of the hole I was in and went to a very dark place mentally.
This is such a good thing. No person should be left without options because they need medical care.

Bad idea. More information is better in economics. This just makes for a less efficient market.
Imagine going to a dealership and buying a car without knowing how much it would cost or the interest rate they would charge you.
Would you buy it?
Another example of the lack of financial literacy in the country, particularly among Democrats. By eliminating one factor from credit scores doesn’t make someone a better risk. All that will happen is that the models will adjust to give greater weight to other factors.
By eliminating this factor, it does adjust the weight to other factors, and in turn likely changes somebodies score. Therefore, it literally changes their risk rating evaluated by lenders. What do you mean it “doesn’t make somebody a better risk?” Are you suggesting that a credit score actually provides a genuine indicator of one’s credit risk?
As somebody who had my credit take a hit after a divorce, I beg to differ.
Isn’t a debt, a debt regardless of the bucket it’s in? I get trying to be nice, but if I’m looking at a financial snapshot to loan money or give credit is this not a distortion of the true financial picture? Won’t everyone just default back to a higher provable income ratio? Harming people more in total than those covered by this exemption? Or people getting further over extended? I can see Warren shaking her finger and lecturing us on how all these people were duped into taking on additional debt they couldn’t afford but credit rating said “a okay”
So when you’re out of network because you’re on vacation and your kid has to take an 80-mile ambulance ride that ends up costing $12k, you think everyone can cover that on a whim? Because when I was making $52k a year supporting a family of 3, I couldn’t. And 56% of Americans have less than $1,000 saved. And 40% can’t afford a surprise bill of $400.
Theoretically, yes, you would think insurance would cover those costs. But most people don’t have plans that do.
Just curious: why didn't you get health insurance? Universities are advertising Obamacare for health insurance.

Side note but kudos to you OP for making it to a lucrative profession coming from non lucrative background. Love to see it.
$100k for an ankle seems a bit much. Best I can do is $10k
I believe it. My SO was bicycling in 2020 for exercise, was the victim of a hit-and-run with a car, broke an arm. With Federal BCBS, still cost us ~$15,000 out of pocket after everything (not including bike repairs).
It's already illegal in most states to report it on your credit, anyway. You can usually send a letter for them to remove it
Just wondering, how did you mentally get through that?
