Reef Mick Fannings for all around
Reefs with the bottle opener for party time
Rainbows for “dressed up” flops.
When you live in a place that is hot and humid they are simply more comfortable than anything else. I wouldn’t wear them to work or anything, but the moment I get home kick off the AEs and throw on the reefs.
I think it’s also a Midwest thing. Men don’t have bared toes. It’s like a thing. Whereas in CA, it’s super normal. I’ve literally never thought flip flops were weird. I’m a CA native and anyone I’ve met with that has that persuasion is from outside of CA

I only wear flip flops (slides) poolside. To me slides are a lot more stylish than flip flops though. I like Gucci ones.

can you give an example? i think they’re just so casual as to be almost inappropriate when not by the pool/beach/house. i wear them a lot in the summer - i just feel a bit self-conscious outside of those situations.
