As a former retail worker, my biggest watch-related pet peeve is greasy fingerprints on watches in display cases 🤢
This is the 360-degree viewer for a Presage on what seems to be the official eshop of Seiko in France:

That “accuracy” is my pet peeve. 😬

My husband and I have had problems for years. He used to basically give me next to no affection, our sex life barely existed (incl. his absolute refusal to do foreplay … ever!) and his general dismissal of anything I enjoyed (my hobbies were boring to him). Over the last year I just gave up trying and accepted we may need to divorce. Now he is trying a lot- he puts in a lot of effort. While a few years ago this would have made me happy I feel like it’s too little too late, I just don’t care ..

As I'm moving to a new role in a small company, I have a doubt about my salary structure like the Basic salary part is only 20,000 while my take home is 62k after all deductions.

I'm concerned because the leave encashment & other things totally depends on the basic salary.

Are there not any rules for the Basic salary to be at a certain % of CTC or it depends totally on the company?

Also PF deductions they are offering only 1800 p.m but considering 20000 basic it should be 12% of 20000 right?

Anyone live in Fairfield county connecticut? Very reluctantly accepting that my partners job will require us to relocate here. Stamford or Norwalk I guess. It seems so quiet. So suburby. Are there actually things to do for urban-minded couples in their early 30s? Are there groups or ways to meet people. Seem like ghost towns. Really want to be proven wrong but I’m not finding much vibrancy.

New to luxury watches. If I were to wear one watch that makes a statement without being too flashy, which one should it be.

I am seeing this as an investment (1) dress to impress, and (2) eventually pass it on to my son who is an investment banker.

Please recommend in 3 ranges: around 6k, up to 12k and 12-16k. tia.

Mid-20s M looking to purchase first nice watch. Choosing between the Panerai Luminor 722 and Omega Seamaster Diver 300m for something of a versatile daily use watch. Both look amazing in their own way; the Omega’s colors are rich and the wave detailing is amazing, while the Panerai’s clean style and unique shape is also appealing. I’d get aftermarket leather / rubber straps for either for versatility. Excluding price as a factor, what are your opinions on which to get?

Anyone here into cleaning / Repairing their old watches, like deconstruct and then reassemble? Starting to get into it and it’s been a lot of fun. I bought my first real watch “Sarb033” 4 months ago and now I’ve fallen down a fun watch rabbit hole. Thanks Obama.

Maybe a bit holy war question. Do you prefer a decent classical watch or Apple Watch? I've been wearing AW for a while but considering switching to a classical timepiece. The biggest deal breaker for me in Health capabilities with my AW. I wound't trust Oura ring with my health data.

Just got in the Direnzo Mondial and I'm blown away by the quality and "feel" on the wrist, especially with the integrated bracelet. It's not my favorite dial, but feels great on the wrist for $700 and noticeably above other microbrands in my collection (Zelos, Traska)
