JC, I would advise against healthcare consulting as an independent practitioner or boutique firm. The post pandemic healthcare system is in tatters. Executives and senior leaders are exiting and mid management is unstable. Most health systems are reporting financial loses and pausing transformational work that they can’t internally manage. Only mid to large consulting firms will be able (in most cases) to snag work within healthcare for the foreseeable future.
