As a generous surprise my parents and my husband's parents went in on the car seat, stroller, highchair and crib together and it's arriving today. All I can think about it is our baby using it and taking her around and I am finding myself less and less patient with work. I am not even due until the beginning of April, so I still have some time to put up with this project when I get back. Anyone feel like this as they head into third trimester?

Nesting was a part-time job for me. And I often found myself prioritizing that over work on some days. Work will be fine. Your mind has a way of showing you what’s most important. Enjoy letting your thoughts wander and imagine your future. It’s a dreamy point in your journey, so no guilt is allowed!

I was in a brainstorm today and could barely hide my lack of interest. When I’m not in the office I feel like being pregnant is my job, and my “paying job” is a side hustle. I really couldn’t care less about Q4 crap - just want to focus on my T3 🤗

Same!

This was me a year ago! My baby was due 3/31 and I felt like once the crib and changing table arrived in December (Black Friday sales 🤗), I had a way harder time focusing. I think it’s totally normal and I tried to give myself grace and live in the moment - enjoying my husband and our final time as a family of 2, feeling my baby kick, even leaning in to the discomfort, the heartburn, the peeing, the back pain. I found meditation really helped. Headspace has a preparing for birth series that I loved. Now, with baby 8.5 months old, that all seems like a distant memory.

Ooo which stroller/car seat and high chair did you get?

We did the uppababy Cruz (i am one and done) and the Uppababy mesa + Stokke trip trapp high chair :)

Agree with ADD1! The urge to nest was so strong I often just blocked an hour on my calendar to go do random things like organize baby clothes.

It really made me feel excited and gave me a little work break. (I was also lucky to be on a not so demanding client at this time so that helped!)
