I understand what you’re feeling. I encourage you to continue doing all those things, sometimes we need a little extra help when in spite of our best try, things do not improve. I encourage you to see your provider and let them know what’s happening. There is help out there. Lastly, you are not alone…
Firstly, I see you and your strength. To go to work in a field where you are caring for others while struggling to drag yourself out of bed to do it is a battle in itself.
I would use up a little PTO, turn your phone off and focus that time on whatever you need most in that moment. If you need rest, don’t guilt yourself for recharging. If you need to exercise, do it in an environment you enjoy. If you crave reconnecting with your preferred friends/SO/etc then prioritize doing that. Self care comes in many forms.
I'm sorry you're going through this. Depression waxes and wanes for me; even when I feel 'good' there's always an undercurrent of melancholy that I've just had to learn to live with. Definitely continue your self care, SLEEP, HYDRATE & EAT (so important and makes such a difference). Take some 'mental health days' and recharge. Also let your provider know; maybe your meds need a little adjusting. Hang in there, you aren't alone and this too shall pass!
Pray to the Lord!
