As a lateral, I was disappointed by the integration process at my new firm. I have done everything I can to make the most of my time at this new firm. My hours are high and despite our group having high turnover since I joined, I feel taken for granted. I really want to make it work here.

Severance help please. V10 6th year with high hours and good reviews stealth fired and blamed on covid. Is it reasonable to push for / expect to recover the end-of-year bonus under the severance agreement? Will likely still be under contract when they're payable but would worry they'd simply declare me ineligible. If not paid at all, would another firm making an offer to me ever be known to pay some of the bonus on the basis they expect you'll have to hand in your notice before bonus is paid?

Is anyone else feeling extreme anxiety about the inevitable return to the office? I’m a junior and can’t wrap my head around how horrible it will be for QOL. It is one thing to bill 14+ hour days when you have no commute, but the thought of balancing a commute and getting any sleep is stressing me out. I just discovered that Zelda: Ocarina of Time, a game that enchanted me for weeks on end when I was a kid, is ~25mb in size.
