I’m not grossing that much, but that’s my goal. Some people like to do strictly business taxes or individuals but I want to also do bookkeeping and payroll since that’s usually the biggest bottleneck is the client financials

Busy season: 50-60. Non-busy season: 30.

Hello all, I hope you’re all having a fantastic day/evening. I’m a Case Manager for TZ Insurance, aka Tranzact. Does anyone know of anything I could apply for at other companies/positions with my skill set? I don’t want to be a sales agent, though I have a Health/Life Insurance License in my state (& a few others). I review new applications with clients. I’m sick of dealing with all the 65+ & disabled people who are always irate & impatient, inside the “Medicare” area of Health Insurance.

Dear Fishes,
Total experience of 5 years. I started working with Accenture from last six months. However I applied an IJP transfer into a different deal in same level my package is 4.65 lpa and the team in which I am moving, the minimum budget for an associate is 9lpa. Am I eligible for hike? Can I ask for hike? If yes, then how much descent hike I can ask for. If no, then I will be not eligible for my next hike as I am changing the team, till 1 year there will be no changes in my package.

What are the lenders that can provide mortgage pre-approval letters prior to starting the job? I’m a new hire moving to NYC, looking to buy a condo, but have no work history (went straight from undergrad-> PhD->new firm). The firm has a mortgage officer who can give me a letter 3 months prior to my start date, but still want to shop around for some rates.

I just spoke with a software architect that went back to school to learn software engineering after law school because it was more lucrative and had less hours. He’s worked his way up and has the skills and authority to work 6:30am-10am and gets to work remotely. We discussed that results/outputs is better than billable time like in law and public accounting. Yet, his parents and others would view him as “lazy” but he does his job and makes a fantastic living. Time>Money and Results>Hours

What to expect, what kind of exit opportunities there are, etc ? I know the midsize has better WLB as well

I think I’m a personable person and I good worker but I’m not sure people will look past not having CPA coming from PA. Thoughts?
