Hello there! I currently work in billing at a medical office. I got my Bachelors in Psychology a few years ago but I couldn’t find a position that seemed like a good option for me that was well paying and fulfilling. I tried working as a tech at an Applied Behavior Analysis clinic but it wasn’t a good fit. I’m hesitant to try case management or social work because I worry I won’t like it but I want to use my degree in Psychology. Does anyone have any ideas for me?

A couple questions for the turnaround consulting fishes:
1. Is FP&A experience valuable for restructuring/turnaround consulting? I’m a CPA with experience in Big 4 FDD and a short stint in IB. Total work experience is a little over 2 years. I recently joined a RE company as a Sr FA in FP&A where I expect that I’ll be mostly doing budgeting & forecasting work.
2. If my goal is turnaround consulting, what should I focus on right now to best position myself?

Slalom vs. Deloitte
I started at slalom a few months ago, however received an offer from Deloitte for Sys Engineer. If the offers are the same (literally the same) would it make sense to jump ship to Deloitte just for the brand recognition?

Been with a marketing agency for almost 2 years now. Was overlooked for my annual review and then in August the company was acquired, so I've been part of the other company for 90+days now. Always give 100% and take on new challenging duties, my new supervisor has already commented that she and other directors take notice. Asking for an increase soon and curious what metrics or evidence would be best to present my case. I would really like to grow within rather than jumping ship.

I’m making a career change from the journalism industry to the data analytics industry. I just graduated with a masters in accounting and business analytics. I also have a lot of analytics experience over the last two years after my work found out that I knew how to do data analytics. Anyone got any advice on how to get a job in data analytics as I can’t seem to even get an interview anywhere? Even though I have analytics experience could my job title on my resume hold me back?

Anyone else having issues finding analysts and data strategists with industry experience not related to media? Feels like the majority of NYC candidates are mainly focused on media data.

The situation: New CPG client is running media on social and digital for the first time and needs to answer to higher ups, “Is it working?”

However, there are no historical or category benchmarks and we are in the brand awareness/audience building phase; they understand that we will do retargeting later. They do not want to drive online conversions on their website. We will have some sponsored product advertising (ex. Instacart) later on.

Had anyone tried Rockerbox or any other out of the box analytics solutions for attributiokn? My take on these are typically the juice isn’t worth the squeeze after using VisualIQ in 2014.

Anyone regret going into data and analytics? Sometimes I feel like I'm too dumb for it. I don't have a statistics background to really take things to the next level, and my colleagues don't have the hours to help me. My technical skills are OK, but nothing to shout at, especially when I don't really have the interest to learn. Maybe I should just bite the bullet and steer my career to a boring client-side position instead.

Getting in-mail inquiries on LinkedIn for senior data analyst roles where I could be making 20k more than current role. I would look into one BUT I’m completing a masters degree(data science) in August and worried about being over qualified/more of a fit for a data science role once I complete the degree.

I currently work in an HVAC role but really want to pivot into data analytics. The only real experience I have that I feel is relevant is project management.
