As a new grad who has been at a company for just a couple months, how free should I be about using my benefits - taking time off etc?

You need to figure out the company’s culture and your team culture about PTO (paid time off). You don’t want to stand out. You want to blend into the team. Do people talk about planning their dream backpacking trip next fall? Or do people just take off a Friday now and than? Does everyone take off two weeks in July ? Or is PTO related to release schedule ? Work / life balance is important, so use the time with the cultural understanding.

Your benefits are part of your compensation package. Use them. If you have unlimited vacation, take 15-20 days a year and see what happens (it's a reasonable amount, not too much). Ask what the guidelines are and plan your year accordingly - can you take summer Fridays? How much notice do you have to give to take a week off? (A month is reasonable, 6 months is not). Can you take 2 weeks off in a row? Etc.

I’ve been creating my pre-recorded video lectures using Screencastify since the beginning of the school year without any issues. However, right before the holiday break my students started experiencing issues where the screen would go completely black in the middle of a video. Has anyone experienced this before? I’m wondering if it might have to do with the program becoming overburdened by the volume of videos being created on the platform.

When is it time to go client side from agency? I’m not looking for a new role but a contact has a contract to full time placement that is for a stable company and sounds like a significant pay raise. Broke her arm. 😩 We would never have allowed her to ride and her parents NEVER supervise when she’s outside. Are we dicks for not offering to cover some/all of medical bills? I don’t feel

Interviewed at Big 4. Never discussed compensation, however when i filled out the online app I put a high but ‘safe’ number. They extended an offer with my original amount,is it too late to negotiate?

Align to non-M&A offering but do a lot of work in the space (DD, integrations). B4 recruiter reached out and wants me to provide resume for review with hiring partner in M&A space. Does it work if I provide a bio with summary of M&A projects (client names removed) instead of a traditional resume? Also plan to list education and past experience but primary focus on recent M&A work
