I’ll go first, in the 15 years between when I was a law clerk to when I became a non-equity partner, my firm’s profits per equity partner amount doubled. Associate comp went up 20k in the same time period.

I’m newly sober (not for the first time) and never knew if there was any support in the network. A bit nervous about returning to in person work and all the assumed drinks. Not in caring what anyone else thinks, just re: my triggers. And of course the wondering if I’ll lose my creativity or socialization skills sober (not even in creative dept). I need thoughts and opinions on leaving a firm I just started at 3 months ago. It hasn’t been the worst experience but also hasn’t been the best. I was made to believe I would be practicing a lot in labor and employment (which is what I wanted to be doing) and I’m actually mostly doing general commercial litigation.
