As a non-black person of colour, I am sick of other non-black people of colour speaking about racism black people go through — particularly those who were not even born or grew up in this society. Even those who grew up in their suburban homes with minimal interaction with black people need to check themselves. Time to put your person of colour card down and step aside when the topic is racism both institutional and unconscious towards black people. THANK YOU!

Huh?

Sorry if it is unclear. Care to ask a clarifying question?

I don’t understand what you’re referring to. Do you think non black people of color are racist towards blacks? Or do you think they identify with blacks? Forgive my ignorance- white person here who is trying to learn what it means not to be white. Maybe you can give an example.

Non-black people of colour have show racism to fears blacks. All I am saying is their experience with racism does not compare with what black people go through. Hence them being people of colour does not matter on this topic. For example, if you are Asian and did not experience racism in the workplace does not mean Black people are not experiencing it.

How am I speaking for Black people? For the record, I did grow up here.
