Openings at Accenture for various levels
Hi all,
I just came to realise Deutsche Bank has a fixed rule of max 30 to 35 % hike on fixed component and remaining 10 to 15% variable i.e. total 50% max hike you can ask for no matter how good, skilled you are.
Is it true?
(I got to know this when an HR called me for a Frontend developer role)

PE ops as in private equity? New skills are great, but what's your end goal? You need to think not just about the new job, but the one after that. Do these new skills get you the next job?

BC1, I work in Alts and know a ton about PE and how they operate. My concern is PE ops isn't the PE deal maker/investor. They would get exposure to that and ultimately might end up doing it, but it is still a support role at its core. I think it can add new skills, but I don't personally see those skills as applicable to a PM role. It will be helpful insight to fundraising and some strategy. Happy to rethink my position. What skills do you think they will learn?
If it's VP of Product as thebend goal, PE ops is not the way to go
Hard to know for sure without knowing mlre. How much YOE do you have in PM? If it's not robust AND you don't have a direct PM mandate, you're not going to know many parts of a PM org which should already be engrained in a TBH VP of Product. Really depends on org and what the role of VP of Product will play to be honest as I've seen sales leaders become Product leaders but traditionally, it'll be a uphill battle. Just 2 cents! Good luck!
Skip PE Ops - Go straight to tech. PE Ops is super tactical and focused on $$s. You’ll do yourself and your career a favor.
PMs positions are very sought after and if you don’t have prior PM experience, you will have a very hard time recruiting for PM roles. You’ll best be fit for S&O type roles (BizOps). The real money in tech is in PM and engineering.
PE Ops sounds sexy - until you do it.
