Clarification h1b stamp

If I read this correctly it should be Frankfurts: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/News/visas-news/announcement-of-processing-posts-for-visa-applicants-from-Ukraine.html

Looks like any embassy should do based on that option. You just have to travel to Canada or so

You can do it in Canada.

The best bet would be to ask your organization. They might have a better and safe idea.

Is this your first time getting H1B visa stamp? Given the country’s current situation I think you will be able to get the stamp in nearby countries.

No I already have one I got in 2019, yeah I need to see who has availability and then take a risk and make the trip

Then get it in Canada. That is what I have done for years. At the moment the availability is for the end of 2022. However, once you make the appt you need to expedite the appt from the visa appt website. You can have it done at the embassy in Toronto. You would need to provide explanation as to why you are requesting an earlier appt.

If I change my employer now and they transfer my H1B, is my original visa appointment still valid ? ls there a way I can update DS160 with the new petitioner and use the same visa appointment ? Or do I have to cancel and book a new visa appointment with new employer information in a new DS160 ?
Please let me know soon. Thanks

For anyone that moved to the US a bit later in life (early 30s), do you feel like you are financially behind retirement now by United States standards?

My home country offers free health care, education, affordable living etc and now i’m in the US the only way I think I’ll ever catch up for retirement is by making Partner salary one day but still living like I’m on a Manager salary to save.

Plus on a visa we cannot have other income. This is going to be a long game of catch up.

PERM question.

Hi everyone I work at EY and have 3 YOE. EY started the perm process after 2.5 years, the role is for manager. It is standard that managers have 5 years of experience, does this mean that the green card will only be available in 2 years from now when you typically make manager (maybe 1 if early promoted)? From my understanding I have another 6 months with the PWD, Recruitment and then filing items, so it will be ready relatively soon. Just trying to make heads or tails of it.
