As an analyst I'm making the switch from Veeva CRM to Salesforce does anyone have any recommendations on how to pick up the fundamentals of Salesforce? It would be greatly appreciated.

That's actually a really good suggestion. Coursera has a few good options as well.

I’m interviewing for a an EA role to CEO, who is also interviewing for a chief of staff. CEO has alluded to me being a great CoS based on recent exp, and longer term COO and has asked if I’m going to find the EA role limiting. Do I address my interest in the CoS role, plus gaps in my experience or do I focus on the EA role and finding opps to add value outside of EA responsibilities without stepping on the CoS toes? I really want to work for this CEO & don’t want to talk myself out of the EA job

Any senior level associates at insurance coverage (or insurance adjacent firms) develop business on the carrier side? If so, how? I am finding the prospect of developing business - new business, at that - from a carrier to be particularly challenging without a partner title. Hoping to hear some success stories. FWIW, I am an 8th year practicing insurance coverage and am up for partner in 2023 at my firm. Thanks!

Thoughts on transitioning from a copywriting role to medical? I started as an HCP copywriter after getting my PhD. It feels like I’m wearing two hats and also serving as the medical lead for my team. Although I’m making a decent salary and like my job, I think the medical team probably makes a bit more and gets to focus on one task. I’m feeling a little underpaid and overworked. Anyone know if it’s worth making the change?

I ended up sticking with EE, but even within EE I had a difficult time picking a focus track bc they all interested me. All these experiences lead to me to where I am today, but now that I have a STEM career in a corporate setting it’s all boring af

I’m currently one of the largest media agencies and we don’t have a comms practice. I’ve applied for connections strategy roles at other agencies but haven’t heard anything back. Looking at my skill set and the job description they seem very aligned. Is it a super competitive field? Where is the most opportunity - creative, media or PR agencies? Is this a dying role and that’s why there aren’t larger teams/available positions?

IC vs Manager. Are there major pay differences between the two? Right now, I have been offered a Principal Data Architect role which is the same pay as the Sr Mgr. I would be moving from a people manager to more of an IC role. Which is better for long term growth? Do you have to move to people management to move far in a company? I feel like at a start up it is better to be an IC due to the chaos of managing expectations at a startup. Hiring in a smaller startup is close to impossible.
