Hi fishes,
Anyone joined coforge recently? Any reviews for the same? Is it worth to join this organisation? They told me they are hiring for Santander bank account but still be having client interview before onboarding to project. Any idea on this account? Is it tough to crack client interview over there? Don't want to face long bench hours like it used to be in Publicis sapient which led to brutal lay off. Kinda sceptical to join as it is giving me Publicis sapient vibes.Coforge Coforge ltd

You just asked what car should I drive… a Ferrari, a Taurus, or should I find a bike. Oracle is the best and most popular, sql server is middle of the road, and MySQL is free but has warts that requires true geek to run.
^Thats definitely not a requirement for Business Analysts.
Do not use access for anything ever
SQL Server is the most common.
None, just get really good with excel and some VBA if needed.
That is a super technical question, depends on what you are trying to do and how much server power you have behind it. Overall I would say it's a toss up between oracle and sqlserver. However I would say that the new memory databases blow all these out of the water.
Teradata for its parallel processing. Also check out open source databases such as MariaDB or MongoDB.
Just trying to execute and qualify for business analyst roles, not trying to be an expert in tech or anything
If you really want to tinker with SQL to get some familiarity - use Access! All queries there you can view as SQL.... so create some using the GUI, then flip to SQL view.
If you want to be flexible in your learning, download the free SSMS along with adventureworks. Writing a simple SQL query is easy, but having the ability to write complex T-SQL or PL/SQL (Oracle's Toad) transactions can really open you databases capabilities. If you really want to be cutting edge, take a foundational JS course, learn JSON and make your own NoSQL DB - check out MongoDb or Elastic Search or some of Hortonworks products
Sorry, I prefer tech over decks 🤓
@d1 lol right? I'm not interested in being a DBA or TC
