As an associate can you tell managers or SM to review your EGAS? Can you tell seniors to finish their EGAS? I’m afraid we are falling behind on this audit...

You can manage upwards to have them review things you prepared, but as an associate I wouldn’t worry or instruct others on EGAs that aren’t yours

Don’t worry about it - it will be their fault. Don’t be afraid to “check in” tho....hints always helps

Hello Folks,

My Current co offered me a salary below the market range and I have got it to their notice but finding tough luck in asking them to give me the industry standard range..

I am exploring new roles and when I tell new co abt my expected salary (as per current market standards) they find excuses to not consider the bump and say “ Oh we can give from your current sal “ any tips on how to negotiate and match my pay (as per industry standards) as I don’t want to be underpaid..

Thanks!

Limited at my current firm due not having CPA. I want to take a few months off to take the exams and then re-enter the market seeking a manager role ( 6 years experience) at a mid to larger size firm. Does this sound like a good idea or should I find a manager role at a smaller firm that doesn't require CPA? Any other options I should be considering?

Partners or whomever can help me understand about billing and hours. To keep things simple, let’s say you only have one staff to work 1,700 billable hours a year on a $60k salary and you have only one job that and the rate charged to the client is $300/hour and an projected hours budget of 1,700 hours. So ideally you would have revenue of $510k. If the staff takes less time partners make less money and if they take more time partners make more money while the staff keeps the same salary?
