How long should I wait to get an offer letter? I did interviews for PwC Corporate Finance. On Feb 14, I got an email saying that I was chosen for the summer internship and that the details will follow shortly. On March 7th, I sent an email to follow up bcs I had not received the details. The assistant responded that the process is underway and it’s within the hands of the HR. Still haven’t heard from them and it’s been over a month. Is it normal? What should I do?

Anybody else get laid off today?
Clinically depressed 🐟, what’s helped?
From someone 3 years in...it's not getting better. You're probably at a place where ADs are basically designers. Like me.
The role of Art Director is being replaced with conceptual thinking designer. If you can’t do anything other than come up with ideas, as an AD you’re in danger. It’s not a quantifiable skill.
Be patient and grateful that you have a job. It will get better, I promise. But I also promise that they never hand out dream work to interns. Keep pushing the pixels and appreciate the good briefs when they come.
I’ll take a different view. It may be quite simply that you don’t like it, it’s not for you, or you’re not ready for the nuance of the role. You may find more excitement, working somewhere more active and hands on. There are a ton of related fields, photography, stylist, props or maybe in house fashion retail clients, they have big studios and need all kinds of people. You are young and there is nothing wrong with trying things out to find your niche.
Starting a career is grueling and hard. Could be wrong but a junior position anywhere is going to kinda suck.
Listen to your heart. Always.
Not sure it's wise to give up on an Industry that has a tremendous amount of variation because of an internship experience. Seems like a premature move based on limited info. But we all have to push "pixels" sometimes. Usually more in the early parts of our careers.
Exactly. OP, right now you're laying the foundation everything else will be built upon. Don't give up yet.
Go get a bound notepad and a nice felt tip pen. If you aren’t doodling ideas on a notepad, drawing thumbnails ideas that have copy hook,
long before pixels ever come into play, then you are not on the path to being an art director. That’s where art direction happens. The rest is execution of somebody else’s idea
How long have you been at it? Careers don’t deliver instant gratification (normally). You gotta grind, move, and be patient. Push those pixels better than everyone else, see where that takes you.
It may just be the place. I was at a place that gave AMAZING chances to Juniors and am now at a place that only gives chances to ACDs. It's hard, but don't give up until you've tried a couple spots.
