As an international (on visa) coming from Big 4 tech (software engineering), what would it take to switch to a financial consulting role? Is an MBA required? How are things post-MBA in regards to job openings (which provide work visa sponsorship for such roles)?

I am at a T2 consulting firm. Recently, promoted to manager with 3 YOE and make 156k a year. I have an offer for a Finance Manager role at an industry job - 140k base + 60k equity annually. I am debating if I should stay and make it to director before exiting consulting or should I just take the industry job? I am getting very exhausted with long hours and late night calls and am looking for something easier. Not sure if it’s the right move.

I get interesting cases and most of the partners I work with are great. This new position would be a $25k salary increase (maybe more) and I have heard work life balance there is great. Hi guys! I had an interview last Saturday with the CEO for an EA role (that was the 3rd interview). The company rushed the process for me because they knew I had another offer. The first 2 interviews went extremely well that’s why they rushed & asked the ceo to interview me on a Sat. morning. Huge common point: The CEO and I are both French. The interview went kinda weird… it was less than 15min. Looked distracted/ not prepared. When I asked him questions he barely elaborated. Comments⬇️
