I just finished what I thought was the final round of interviews for a job that I really want. Everything has been going extremely well. The recruiter just called to tell me that they want me to do one more round, though. This will make 8 interviews total, including a full case study presentation to 4 people. Should I be worried? Is this a red flag?

I'm currently working for a startup that has been unable to pay us for 2ish months while they are trying to secure investor funding. They said they will back pay us and (we're working much fewer hours) and they were reaching into their personal savings for months before and never took a salary. Just got done with a final case interview. He didn’t have questions because we were over time but he said if he thought it was not worth hearing, he would have interrupted me. Then he said usually no questions is a good sign. He mentioned there are 2 other final interviews today so he needs to decide from 3 people. Finally he said that the offer will take until next week so you can hear something from us then?

I’ve heard of some account service individuals who jumped from Account Executive/Account Manager to Account Supervisor (vs AE -> SAE -> AS).
