I'm an engineer, and I feel like my manager is more of a friend than anything else. We talk about our personal lives, and I feel like it's hard to be completely honest with her when she's so casual with me. I don't want to lose our friendship, but I also need to be able to talk honestly with someone who has the power to help me grow professionally. Is there a way to have both?
If the child is small and appears to be alone, I will usually try to talk to them and get them to come with me. If they are older or there is more than one of them, I will usually arrest them.
you straight up arrest them?? seems a little extreme no?
I work as a patrolman in NYC, and when I see this happening I stop them usually there is more than 1 kid doing this at a time, so I stop them and give them a talk, possibly everything I tell them will be forgotten immediately, but just by 1 listening to me I know it will make a change.
Who didn't do something silly as a child? I just sit down and talk to them if I can.
There are a lot of serious crimes and this one is really low on my priority list, if I'm being honest. I'd only be inclined to "give them a talking to," nothing more than that. What else can you do, really...?
