Ha. That’s great. Thanks. My feeling is ive pretty much seen everything and tasted everything. And we live in nyc. We have all the food here. Better than in country.
“ive pretty much seen everything and tasted everything.” Lolllllllllll lmfao 😂
I doubt it. And best Asian food I’ve had has definitely been in Asia. You don’t have to like traveling or want to experience new things but honestly it’s insulting that you think NYC is representative of all the cultures in the world.
What about luxury travel? Experiences? There’s the Grand Prix in Monaco, Cannes Film Festival, that whole thing. Or you sound like a person who would love a cruise?
I think the exhaustion is the problem, not the lack of desire to travel. I would start there and think about how you can take time to recharge so you can get your interest in the world back again. It sounds like it’s important to your wife, so perhaps you can find joy in experiencing some of your favorite places with her? And, encourage your wife to travel with friends so your don’t have to hold her back if it’s not your thing.
You said you’re in NYC. Do you have a second home for the weekend? The Hamptons? I grew up here so that social scene can get old. Nantucket is really nice to get to know
Good point. We don’t have a summer home but we have a lot of friends that invite us and it’s exhausting :) we do have a place in Florida that we go to a few times in the winter hotel/condo in Miami.
Wife is pushing. But I think I’d rather just stay home. I don’t want to disappoint her. But I also don’t want to be annoyed
Lol. I'm 25 and I feel this way. My wife loves to travel and I like being home or atleast visiting family. I like to think she's giving me a challenge to grow and learn more about the world.
What about travel is it that you don’t like? Length of flying/driving, destinations, food, quality of accommodations, activities etc. Identify which part you don’t like and adjust.
You should do that. If you love NYC, I bet you would love Paris or another cosmopolitan city for a month.
Travelling isn't for everyone... It has become more mainstream lately though. Maybe find the time to discover what would you like to do
