Im not searching for a new job but an acquaintance reached out about a similar role at a similar energy company.Turns out 2 ppl threw my name in the hat. I looked into it and the position was posted 2 weeks ago.Their director wants to meet.I bet pay is one of the first things to be discussed so that no one’s time is wasted.Am I crazy for not wanting to entertain it for less than 20-25% base pay increase? Is it selfish to ask for more? I’m sure most salary conversations end in negotiation anyways?
I feel betrayed. Kab Hua Meeting😑😶🥹

Take 70k inhand after few months search for new job
After taking that we have to stay for 1 year compulsory. Otherwise they won't give experience letter and we have to face some problems with management.
I would suggest you to take the 70k, stay back for 1 year and then start looking for better offers. Since the hike which you'll be getting is close to 100% and right now it must have increased from 4.5LPA to 9.5-10LPA fixed part. This is a good hike and you even if you switch the maximum you might get is 10-12LPA.
what kind of company states that you have to resign first and then search for jobs. Very weird. Are they playing with other careers. Kindly tell the name of your company so that people can avooid.
AS we have appraisal every year. When our time comes for appraisal we have to decide whether to stay or leave. If we are not okay with appraisal that we have to put papers or if we decide to stay then we have to stay for one year compulsory. So as i am hearing recession phase is going on, so is it a good time to switch or not. Need an advice. Thank you.
