KPMG uses an example of “teaching a fitness class” in the annual independence confirmation as to what all requires approval (basically any and everything). I’ve dabbled in wedding planning. Is this likely to be approved? Exactly what all information does the firm ask you when you’re seeking approval for a side gig?

I don’t think that most people they find in the lake went in it willingly. Water makes it too easy to cover up murders. Washes away evidence. But it’s dismissed because most people they found had also been drinking. But people just disappearing miles away from the Lake don’t just fall in it. Yes, suicide happens. But many of these cases show zero signs of anything like that. The constant MO is being out with friends having fun. The friend vanishes. Then is found in the lake weeks later.

What are people’s thoughts on CS masters degrees? I’m not talking about the professional ones designed for non-CS undergrads, but a proper masters degree from a good school. I have 3 years work experience as a data engineer, but would love to dive deeper into ML and a degree seems like a good option. Will companies value it? I don’t have a CS background in undergrad, but most prereqs are knocked out.

Why are lawyers less friendly as colleagues than non-lawyers? I’ve worked both in-house and in firms and noticed lawyers tend to ignore each other. Compared to the multiple corporate events and initiatives that was quite a choc when I realized people in BL just come to the office, sit down, work and leave without even trying to have a conversation.

He started on and off with recovery always asking my help to try 30 days sober which I do to support but he consistently fail and avoids AA. I have been doing Al-Anon and it’s very helpful. Best little did gig for an extra grand a month? I currently work a full time job making about 3k a month, flash tattoos averaging about 400-700 a month. I just quit a security gig that was an extra 300 a month but that’s because it had me working overnights on Saturdays when I normally got 7am to 4pm Monday through Friday. It messed with me too much.
