Do I need to list a three week and a two month summer college job on a background check? I would rather not because I fired, but in my defense, it was for stuff that I was not licensed to do but. Cont
What would you do if you saw someone who worked beneath you and was laid off claiming your work in their portfolio? In one example, I designed a main UI image and all they did was resize the background for the different splash pages. Another, I designed a template for a type of marketing piece, and all they did was sub in new copy and headshots. Advice?
If you get fired from your PA job, would your new employer be able to find out? Was told that my old PA firm does not release this information - not sure if this is true?
How do you answer a male counterpart that says you should ‘watch your time’...without getting fired 😂

Having my first stressful day of WFH. My Team mates got laid off, salary cuts, ex boss died of covid and i worked on weekend till late night. Plus i am gonna have to do 4 peoples work now.
I'm in salary negotiations for a great role, but there's a small gap (~$10k) to even match my old salary. They have most of the obvious benefits like unlim. vacation, low healthcare premiums, 401k matching, permanent WFH, etc. Right now, severance pkg. and a more senior title are most important. Has anyone negotiated a title bump? Outcome? Are there additional benefits I should also consider?
Hi all. I was let go and will be receiving my severance on 9.15. Does anyone know how or what exactly I need to file with the DOL? I can't afford to have it canceled. I'm located in NYC. Thanks!
Hey 🐠 - I’m early in my pregnancy and interviewing bc I’m afraid of being laid off soon. How can I find out from the firms I interview with whether they have minimum tenure requirements to qualify for paid maternity leave (e.g., need to be at firm 1 year before qualifying)? Obviously, this is the most important benefit for me and I will not be revealing my pregnancy during the interview process. Anyone been through this and have any advice? TIA
Currently living in my hometown. Joined Accenture a few months back and MD wants me to move to another city. I’m living with some family currently and want to wait it out due to covid, layoffs, etc. but I want to move out of my family’s place but still in the same city till I move. I just don’t have enough room here. Thing is I don’t want to buy new furniture and then have to bring it with me to that new city. I’d rather bring less to that new city and buy when I get there. What should I do?
Has anyone negotiated advance severance for a job? So if PWC says 1-week per year of service, can you ask for 1- month per year or at least 3 months to be written into your employment contract at the
EY Mind games - no bonus and raise for your hard work, save tons of money, layoff people in the wake of performance based separations and then suddenly give RAC worth pennies to everyone so employees can get piece of mind and do not leave in a hurry. P1 will definitely argue on above and prove his loyalty once again, lol....
Got laid off (punch to the gut) three weeks ago, interviewing this week at both Google and Amazon. Very appreciative right now!
I work in sourcing/procurement/supply chain and want to leave consulting. Are there any good exit opportunities in the DC area?
How do you guys deal with client counterparts you just don’t get along with? I am in a situation now where my counterpart and I just don’t have the same styles or don’t see eye to eye, not to mention they are a HUGE micromanager which makes me stress out and have bad time management skills 😂 I’ve never had to work so closely with someone I didn’t “jive” with so any advice will help!
Haven't seen anyone put "Available for Staffing" in their Skype location. Seeks like it would be helpful for people in your network to know you're free without contacting everyone. Any downside?
