What special brand of dumb do you have to be to fail a driving test.

like

I shit you not I failed my driving test twice when I was 15/16. Granted I think my state has a slightly more difficult exam than most, but I missed questions like how many inches are you allowed to park from the curb (with options 18, 12, 6, etc). Answer varies whether you’re in California or Pennsylvania - but I just didn’t study.

I consider myself to be an otherwise reasonably intelligent person. Passed the road test on the first try, 98th percentile on the act, 98th percentile on the lsat, went to a top 20 undergrad, masters in CS at a top school, data scientist at a faang…

I don't want to stereotype but why do so many Indians have oversharing issues on LinkedIn

like

I don’t think this is an Indian issue, I see plenty of dumbasses all over the place

Can someone from India please explain to the rest of us how to gauge the difficulty of a driving test in India?

How hard can you honk

Actually, I think my favorite is “Gold Medalist”

Teaching kids moral values. 🙄

How does one fail a driving test 4x in India when there are not a ton of driving rules?

Gold medalist in what?
BS 🙄

Demotivational poster

Lol.. seems like they had to share one failure and it seemed least harmful

I had a surgery for ectopic pregnancy about two weeks ago and I’m still insanely tired. To add before the surgery, I was given one dose of methotrexate and my hemoglobin tanked from 13.8 to 10.8 between the first blood test ( May 1st week) and the last ( June 1st week). I think my tiredness is cause by a mix of low hemoglobin, methotrexate, and surgery. Any advice on how to get my energy back would be appreciated.

If you work at a small agency in NYC, could you tell me what your monthly health insurance premiums are for families? I'm at a small agency in NYC and the health benefits for a family are almost prohibitively expensive, ~1,500/mo with a high deductible. Would love to know if we're competitive or not and if not, share that info with our HR and bosses.

Hello all I received an offer from EY GDS and the date of joining was a concern so I asked for a postpone not much just by a week.( Joining is in May)
It's been almost 1 week now and I haven't heard back from the HR I called and was informed the details are shared with other team and they are working on it.
Is it normal ? Does it take really this long for a new start date?
I resigned here and a bit worried about this whole thing .
Please help

I was fired last month after a short time at the company. I knew things weren't going well- it was a terrible culture fit & I was also planning my exit strategy. They wouldn't give me specific reasons other than to vaguely say it was performance related. I agree I made a few dumb mistakes (none of any dire consequence) but what kills me is that I tried really hard. I don't want to change careers but I have a deep seeded fear that no matter how hard I try, I will never be a "good attorney".

Recruiter reached out a few weeks ago about an ER role. I don’t have the finance background but want to pivot. I had a first round interview that I thought I bombed but I got a second. Did a stock pitch that was fairly good, didn’t know all the technical questions tho. I followed up day of, and recruiter asked to have a quick chat next day. She asks me about salary & availability to start and says she’ll try and get an update from the team. I haven’t heard & im wondering if I got rejected

4 YOE in Federal consulting. Currently a C at $85K and just received a 5/5 performance review with super positive feedback from my team and leadership. Noted that I was the top performer and was doing stuff at a senior level.

How realistic would it be to break $100K+ in jumping elsewhere? Either at C/SC level. Might be a silly question but I want see others perspective. TIA!

Wanted to know how different is management consulting in the US via-a-vis India?

Background : working as front end consultant in India. Daily routine is opening laptop at 9AM and doing work till 10ish PM, if the project is tight (which it is in majority cases) closing laptop by 1 or 2 am. Travel depends on project. Sr Managers have no sense of personal space in most companies. Money is goood.
