I'm TC2 at Deloitte w. 2 YOE and MAcc. Working on CPA exam. Some of my team peers moved to Capital One as Senior Business Analyst and it seemed good to me too. Recently I was contact by Cap One. The recruiter asked me if I'm interested in- Analyst/ Associate/ Risk Manager roles at Commercial bank (related to real estate or credit). Those roles require 1-3 YOE, but not Master's or CPA. Does anyone know if above positions are as competitive as SBA?
Seems like some of the AmLaw 75+ firms are not matching the new scale. Looks like Perkins Coie, Cooley, MoFo (and more). Seems like a big risk for those firms. Are there any others on that list?
Hello !! my PWD is in progress and im due for promotion this year (level IV to Level V) my designation would also change but not responsibilities. Will this affect my PWD or PERM process. I reached out to BAL and they said if role/responsibilities change ill have to start from first. Does change of desination mean change of role ?
I’m looking for recommendations on black turtlenecks/mock neck long sleeve shirts. Any ideas? I’ve had a cashmere one for years and it’s finally biting the dust
It’s been a tough time finding a position during this time. So many applicants for each opening especially on LinkedIn. Is anyone hiring in healthcare (finance/revenue cycle/operations)? Open to other healthcare opportunities too. Headhunters?
What are the benefits to joining smaller, lesser m known consulting firms in mid level roles? Doesn’t seem like it opens more doors or pays better.
I've been considering investing in Acorns. Anyone have any thoughts (good or bad) on Acorns?
When you first went solo, what was one thing that you thought was going to be difficult/stressful but turned out to not be so bad? And vice versa, what was something that you thought would be a piece of cake but turned out to be anything but?
Does client’s name and/or deal size matter for resume-building purposes?
More context: Junior at a V10. Fancy-client-name work is more mundane. More substantive experience is available working on smaller clients. Wondering about both in-house and lateral exit options.
Looking into industry tax manager openings. Going to have an interview coming up for a tax manager and expecting a mix of technical and behavioral questions. What kind of technical questions were you asked before?
I am good at research and writing. Typically more thorough and articulate, so often helped friends / family when growing up.
Did better in career, much faster. Friends don’t fathom how busy I’ve gotten (leadership role commitments, not being boastful).
Still get requests asking to research, write, decide on behalf. If I had time, I’d help!
S. Asian culture, so may appear cocky if I say ‘you give it a good attempt first, happy to review then’.

Ever wondered why the plane announcements are so obnoxiously loud? Customer service opportunity?
I feel like in the last 6 mnts my ‘smartness’ has declined. I am no longer as sharp and quick as I used to be. It’s takes me a lot longer to create decks that I would have created quickly before. Cont
What’s your experience with lingual braces? Any thoughts on Incognito or InBrance?
Invisalign isn’t for me.
When your mother wants to have a condescending argument when I tell her that I’m not qualified for the “creative director” position she sent from craigslist. Then continues to say, ‘well you don’t know until you try’. When I tell her I’m not qualified, she responds, ‘okay well you’re not qualified lets move on to a other topic’. Considering I’m a recently laid off junior, and she doesn’t seem to understand the ladder of career development. 🙄🙄🙄 Save me!
