Whenever I hear a company talk about “family” culture, I know they’ll be using it as an excuse to try and underpay me.
Just posting to this bowl - avoid Stripe. Stripe’s culture is trash for the following reasons:
- 15% Partially Meets Expectations target
- Asshole managers (mostly from Amazon)
- random PiPs and ‘disappearances’
- Sales and Marketing orgs’ exclusion from the Bonus Choice program
- our inability to hire an external CMO, likely due to culture problems
- 2x’ing headcount during the pandemic, but bungling remote onboarding - 60% unfavorable Stripesat results from new joiners
I can go on.

Howdy Y’all! I received two great offer letters but from two completely different types of agencies and I am stumped on which direction to go. One is a management level position at one of the big 6, however my past experiences have had a very relaxed company culture and I am not sure how I will adapt to more corporate. I know that there will be lots of room for vertical and horizontal growth though. The 2nd agency is very similar to where I am working now with great company culture but less pay

My company hasn't sent anything to highlight black history month yet I noticed during Hispanic heritage month, there two newsletter sent highlighting Hispanic culture. Idc about climbing the ladder, but I do care about inclusivity at work
