I was passed over twice this year for a promotion which was heartbreaking for me. I am not giving up and I have added a few skills to my resume, so bring it on 2024 ! I think this will be my year !

I am rooting for you!

I am looking forward to gaining new experience given that I just now started a new role at the end of 2023. And personal goal, I’d like to work on saving more money for my future.

Professionally, I'm hoping to be promoted next year. Personally, I'd like to get on a path to better health. Not a diet or anything like that. Just overall better health.

Professionally, I want to be involved in a meaningful project that will contribute to my satisfaction to survive the year. I wouldn't say I like the feeling of being mentally bored. Keeping me busy just to be "busy" doesn't work.

So I have completely lost interest in my area of practice mainly because I haven’t been exposed to many matters (our team is really slow) and I am the most junior in the team. So billable work is never constant. I feel like this has impacted my interest and stagnated my growth. I am thinking of moving into a different area of practice that I’m interested in. Has anyone ever done this? I’m actually depressed and I really hate being given work now. I have ADHD. Please advise

Hi all, need some advice here, like a lot of others here, Google is definitely a dream company for me to work at. I come from a non-technical background, currently working as a project manager + associate product manager (20% project situation) at a SaaS company. I would really appreciate the input on my chances for a Program manager/ associate product manager role. Also, what are some of the key skills that are utilized extensively in these roles, which google considers a great asset?

How would you approach moving back into industry after a long career break?

A successful senior software engineering career (15 years+), I took a significant amount of time out due to burnout and caring responsibilities.

Seven years on, my situation has improved, and the industry has progressed. Remote first companies are numerous, and I’m keen to move back into software development.

I would love to hear a recruiter's perspective on this situation.
