Got an offer w Deloitte in juman capital...not lateral—-I’d be starting a position lower and paying lower. What can I do to ask them for either a higher position or higher pay? Is it worth jumping from Accenture? I’m interested in their legal management consulting practice and would love to get in there somehow once I’m in at Deloitte. Idk if this is the right move?

Recently was told I’ll be moving from a technical role to a functional role and am pretty disappointed about this. Our tech lead seems to be pretty disappointed as well. Any advice for opening dialogue with the engagement manager?

Does client’s name and/or deal size matter for resume-building purposes?


More context: Junior at a V10. Fancy-client-name work is more mundane. More substantive experience is available working on smaller clients. Wondering about both in-house and lateral exit options.

Got promoted to manager this year and making 152k. Got an offer from BCG Platinion but they're bringing me as a Senior Consultant for 160K.

I tried other exit ops at Amazon, FB, MSFT, Walmart, Mastercard, etc but they never followed through past the initial interview or call with the recruiter.

Would the move to BCG be a good idea? I'm stuck at EY doing implementation work I'm not enjoying and I'd be doing more IT strategy and management at BCG which I enjoy more.

I have a referral but for some reason when I go to the referrals page it says that the email I’m using is not associated to the referral, even though it is the exact same email address. I just applied to a role and the referral did not carry through, I think. What can I do to resolve this? I’ve gotten a referral from the same person previously, and it worked fine the last time.

“Strategist” seems like a rare title to see when you go in house. Are there similar roles with different titles - I could be wrong, but I don’t think it’s an agency exclusive role.

Had an employee request a standing desk due to back problems. went through the ADA process & the employee obtained a doctor's note to support their request. However, the note was questionable. it was from an acupuncturist, on a word doc, no real signature and just said that a standing desk would prevent pain & improve their productivity, nothing about him not being able to work without it. Thoughts? Also, what do you think about having certifications from non-traditional doctors?
