Perhaps a spicy take: signature pages are much more substantive than people are willing to admit. You need to understand structure, authority (and whether it’s granted by the operating agreement or by resolution), local recording requirements (for us RE folks), and all sorts of other information like notice addresses that a paralegal or admin likely doesn’t have handy. Most of the time when “something as easy as signature pages” is staffed out, that person is not set us for success.

I spent all day on a memo that should not have taken all day just as a matter of principle (i.e., this memo will not beat me.) The memo was about damages but involved technical concepts I am unfamiliar with and requires extensive research. I called my expert, reviewed transcripts (3 volumes of one expert) and my own work product (summaries of invoices). I might just bill the 6 hours it took me to prep this one memo… (😅) just venting…
