OP, one of the hardest things I had to come to terms with is the local market bill rates that Slalom can charge are Typically Much Less than Accenture could charge for me doing the exact same role/responsibilities (like almost $100/hr less). Therefore, regardless of you working at a client with more responsibilities now, I recommend you try to grow your skill set over the rest of this year in an area of high demand where we can typically bill more. I don't know your practice area, level, or experience, but for instance, Certified Solution Owners, Agile Coaches, Data Scientists, etc- are all examples of roles that can bill out significantly higher than the normal roles, and thus you could demand a corresponding salary jump if you were to gain training, experience or certifications in areas like those.... in my opinion. Don't be discouraged; Good luck!

Sc3, I've seen some people go back to a larger firm because they felt like you do. For me the Slalom approach means we make fewer of those "never retreat, never surrender" mistakes and think things through more, but some people prefer the faster pace. Go with what suits you, but give yourself at least a year to see if it's a real culture clash or if you're just having a tough time acclimatizing.

sounds shitty, but stop trying so hard. if they won't pay for your services, don't offer them. take those extra hours spent at the office and spend them with the family

Prove you can handle more, then go back and ask for salary uptick. Leave if they don't agree.

Tell me about it. Our pay sucks.... I live in Manhattan and 56% if my paycheck is gone after taxes etc... our benefits stink too. I can't support my family in Slalom Pay and my raise and bonus (large by Slalom standards), does not help in NY! Love the firm, but pay scale is not sustainable so thinking of leaving :(

Same here (experience and advanced degree) - but NY salary outside of NY is awesome, in NY not so much.

The hours are what keep me too. I'll sacrifice a little $ just to keep sane and work with sane people.

D1, it's a good system mostly, but a shock when you get staffed on a team where new Big 4 imports outnumber cultural Slalomers. It's like they're all on meth, takes a while to calm them down and stop them from thinking that stress/overwork=success.

Either work at the level of pay they are giving you or leave. Personally I'd leave if I felt a company did not properly value what I brought to the table.

Out of cycle request is not typically the way to go. Prove yourself in the role and make your push at performance year end when compensation is fair game for discussion. Otherwise, go with D1's approach.

Or move on...i debate cashing out for more pay weekly. The easy hours are what keep me here

@D1 good advice but don't have a family! @P1 market/peer standard so ~10% bump and yes as much as I could with qualitative KPIs
