You're leaving anyway man. Isn't it a moot point then
Bye
My experience was it started out fantastic... Best job ever, then they started to stretch people thin to fill hours for clients. Never saw my kid anymore, missed weddings, birthday parties, class reunions... Then policies started to change less incentives, ie cell reimbursement drops, meal changes, no more Amex P card, region base Counselors so I got this garbage absent one that made himself available once every 3-4 months, never replied to emails. Then on top of that audit started to slow down bad, making getting reimbursed longer an harder. Disputes over 3cents, really, but it's all good. In the end consulting is a move up or move out... I don't like the path into what management entails and so on, so I chose to stick with my niche passion; ultimately of hire value than being some manager at EY. It was an amazing FIRM to work for, now it's just another firm in the bunch with a forgotten concept of work life balance.
EY will be ok... They're hiring noob college grads faster than McDonald's cranks out burgers. Plus the money at this firm is shit compared to other ops.
Let me guess you have 4 years experience and think you underpaid if you make less than $150k
@D1 I have 5.5years exp and make 105k, moving into upper 160~170k now.
Damn. That's a solid come up on salary. Congrats OP. What kind of firm are you moving to? Tech?
@EY2 No more consultantimg for a bit... I want my family time back for now, got a young daughter that is beyond happy I'm home now. Her smiles and that time spent with her are invaluable to me right now.
@EY2 Cyber Security and most all aspects of, I've participated in doing a ground up SOC for 3 companies. One of which is a fortune 10 moving on with that and looking to have the steady position like this new one where I can learn more of the Digital Forensics portion.
Good luck, sounds like it's well deserved!
Mmm he never did his job so you're right... Why make expectations now
What level are you OP
Don't leave us
What has been your experience at this firm? You don't sound like you had a great experience. How long have you been here?
Way over paid. Jk. Good luck!!
OP I'm glad to hear you'll have time with the family now. What type of tech if you don't mind me asking?
But nah I wanted to know for sheer curiosity... I busted my ass this year and it would have been fu to laugh at the review comparing effort to return

@D1 I probably don't work the average service line to be ok with settling for those salaries... I'm cool with moving into the silicon Valley areas and making a lot more for what I have to offer.
