Asking anyone that has gone from top 10 (BDO/RSM/GT) to big4 in tax. How was your transition and pay and how did your wlb change? Or is it similar?

I got paid more to work less and in a more flexible manner.

Given I went from compliance to provision work but still. My life improved greatly.

likehelpfulsmartfunny

Ah helpful to know. I guess it may be due to the transition to provision but still. Thanks!

Your busy seasons will be a lot more hectic - big4 is what you make of it, learn to say no and have boundaries. As EY mentioned, the flexibility is definitely there. Watch out for snakes

I see. So as long as I make sure I don’t take on beyond my capacity, it should be okay. Snakes… hmm I see..

About 30% more salary and substantial learning experiences

Went from RSM to Big4. Much better WLB. But I left compliance for a speciality group. Makes a big difference

Which specialty group, if you don’t mind sharing?

Hard truth:

I've never seen "brand safety" used so much as a cover for "I have a strong political bias- and I'm going to act on that by pulling levers I can control, regardless of true business impact/rational."

Call it brand safety all you want. It's personal bias seeping into your work decisions. It makes "you" feel better/empowered. Brand safety is a cover.

If you are (very) underpaid compared to the market but really like your company (comp aside) is there any outcome to remedy this? I’m talking I could make 50%+ more elsewhere. Has there been instances of massive counteroffers that actually work? Do you just approach comp right now and ask for what you want? If so how do you phrase this?

2)WLB for Salesforce Developer vs Salesforce Consultant will there be no difference?
3) It was said on call that Deloitte USI will provide training for CPQ before moving into projects. Does that mean first they hire and put on bench and when projects gets approved they tag for billing? If not will still be on bench?
