Asking for a friend. Is going from Senior Account Supervisor in the agency world to Account Supervisor in-house at a media brand detrimental to career? Or is it ok since the role is outside of agency?

I’m a bit rough around the edges and I think this is severely hindering my abililty to connect with people in my department and civilians. What are some good ways to break out of this and develop my people skills?

Applied for a position in Johnson and Johnson Canada. Reached the final round 3 weeks back. After not getting any updates I emailed the HR a couple of weeks back. They responded back telling me that they’ll have an update for me the next week. Again I emailed them on Thursday asking if they have anything for me before the long weekend ( Good Friday & Easter). No response whatsoever. Will emailing them again be inappropriate? I desperately need this job

I was recently laid off and got another offer with 10 days but wasn't able to hold on multiple offers as I was immediate joiner. Hence I joined the company but I was skeptical because it is product based food package manufacturing company. this is my 3 rd company.yoe -3.5 .net developer. I was not going to switch because my earlier work was nice. Current with this different industry i feel if I took right decision and will it be ok if I switch again or should I wait for some time.

Any advice on transitioning from medical sales to tech sales. I’ve been a top performing rep (ranked first and second) two out of the last three years at my current company and was top 5% at my previous company. As a student in the final year with professional experience in accounting, i think about dropping into software sales. I got an offer for 68k€ annually (Big4 ususally 55k€ offers). Especially as a young person, i wonder if learning opportunities are good in software sales. What do you think?

I (31 yo) left agency for a really stagnant, boring and dead-end (but cushy) corporate comms role (been here for 3+ yrs now). I've freelanced a lil bit on the side and I'm thinking of doing it full time, but I worry that i'm too used to the structure of my work and might not have the drive for freelancing.
