Asking for advice (work at pwc), I was promoted mid year to manager and a few months later Covid... I’m very thankful to have a job but given the pandemic the pay bump was nothing to be excited about. With the way things are going, I am anticipating no pay raise next year. I’m being paid as a 4th year senior and trying to wrap my head around if it’s my time to leave the firm and go to another firm for more $$. I don’t work an insane amount of hours but not getting paid for my worth.

With COVID-19 getting worse, is there any way to help our old people? I can’t imagine they can fight for food/medicine/supplies. Any organizations doing this work, or ideas on what I can do?

Not sure how consulting firms expect to retain talent out of undergrad if they barely raise pay. Left consulting after 1 year, end of 2nd year and I’m at 180k comp now with friends at D and PWC barely hitting 85. I know seniors at D not even making 100k

I just need to get this off my chest. I went from insurance defense to workers comp because I like that side of the v. and I thought it would lead to a decent pay raise. I wasn't making market value at ID firm and the firm had no more money to give (sometimes had to wait a week for paychecks to issue due to finance problems). After a year at this new firm, I definitely have my bearings of WC and ask for a raise during my review. That was denied and they had their feedback. After about 6 months..

Any firms have a bi-yearly review/promotion cycle?

I am due for promotion next year from S. Con to Manager. I was assured that I would get it this yr but didn't happen and now the partner tells me that it's definitely going to happen next year. Cut a corner too short in a garage and hit a post with my car and It’s about $3000 to fix and will take at least a week.
