Asking for an observation as part of interview process… I have 2 job offers, one in pediatric clinic and one in home health. Obviously they are very different but I can’t decide. I’ve never done home health and really want to see a couple sessions to get a feel for it if I would like it. Is that something I can ask for before accepting an offer?

He asked me how many times has that happened? I was like that doesn’t matter. I spent way too much time, money and effort to get to where I am.

Me and few of my friends recently switched jobs i got ctc in range of 20s lpa and all of my friends got in range of 30s lpa
The companies and the tech stack is not same.
Now i am feeling like i low balled myself during negotiations and also I didn’t played around with like 10-20 offers like my friends did to get such an exponential hike.
What do you think shall i do guys?

What do you wish design students would learn in school to ease the transition into needs of business? I have seen an increasing need for more education/inclusion/overlap into other areas of business that depend on design teams so they understand what goes into the process. As well as design teams into the other business teams. This would alleviate tensions and improve quality product delivery due to the major miscommunications that occur so frequently.

What are the true strengths of EY-Parthenon in Europe? I know they have the usual matrix of practices (topic vs industry), I’m more looking for those areas where they have a real edge?

As a young teacher do you keep your age hidden from students in order to avoid losing their respect?

I am an office coordinator at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and want to break into the field of research. MSK has research coordinator roles, however when I initially applied after graduating, I didn’t get any interviews. I have minimal experience with research from undergrad. I’m not sure if it is possible to switch roles within MSK. I also want to go back to school for an MPH. Anyone have any experience with this or any tips?

I’m an LCSW with 7 years experience. Currently working as an EAP consultant for an insurance company from home. The pay is good but I hate being on a call queue and the schedule is SO rigid. As a working mom I’m wondering if there are other options for remote WFH positions in insurance out there that don’t require being in a call queue and having supervisors monitoring every single second of your day?
