I was referred to Deloitte by my friend and he had took 25K from me for referral...but HR didn't offered the amount I expected.. Deloitte offered 21L including PF and gratuity. Counter offer I had was 25L including PF. Tried to negotiate with HR to give atleast 23L. But HR didn't agreed.. Now as offer was never released I am asking my friend to return what he gauranteed..and he is denying... Can anyone provide suggestion? What can be done with such frnd and how can I get back my amount?

Is there a corporate / transactional job out there where you work predictable hours, maybe a weekend here and there each month, but are able to maintain some semblance of a life? I’m a 3rd year assoc and enjoy my work, but need time for certain personal things (family, health). I have an MBA and am willing to move into more of a business driven role. Recently went from a V50 to a large boutique and still haven’t found much improvement in schedule control. Does in house do this or is that a myth?

I have an offer for McKinsey EM - currently at T2 - when I gave notice my firm offered instant Director (I was 1 yr away). They are pushing hard and basically badmouthing McK scandals etc, raising integration risks with existing McK consultants - will be seen as outsider etc. any thoughts? There is a risk but in my view worst case I’m there for 2yrs then can decide next step with a great brand on CV. Comp isn’t that important to me ultimately we will all do well in the long run. I've had 5 no-shows to video interviews for a recruiter position. It's a full-time time, salaried , 100% remote role. I have 8 other corporate roles and not experiencing this. Any tips or ideas? I send interview reminders, send a follow-up email/text after the no show to make sure they are ok. I haven't heard back from anyone. So odd.

My current package after my promotion stands 8.7 of which around 1.2 is variable. Recently I got an offer from TCS with 12.5 lpa. But the position they are offering is IT Analyst.
