Asking to wait on promotion to senior to mid year unless I come up with a proposal (because I’m exp. hire). What are some proposals I can give to demonstrate I deserve to be promoted?

Look at the senior associate job expectations and compare them to what you are doing/have done. It would be a good support to say you’ve been doing senior responsibilities. Also, if there is anything to differentiate yourself from your peers include that as well.

I’ve already done senior work, though it was not perfect, and communicated with client and performed coaching of associate.

You should be having frequent discussions with your coach/advisor and getting feedback from them about how you can demonstrate that you're ready. You can think of the greatest business case showing why you think you're ready but if management in your office don't agree then it doesn't really matter.

Thoughts on part-time check-the-box MBA? I’’ 32, and am on track for promotion to SM. I can’t justify doing a part-time MBA at a top school and taking on all the debt. An MBA has always been a goal of mine, and some state schools provide an affordable price tag but I’m not sure if it’s worth it at all if it’s not a top 20 school.

Everytime I think about work and how I can't even make a strong case for myself for a promotion I get upset. I'm literally pissed that I'm past a year mark and have yet to learn anything new since month 2. I've researched and taught myself as much as I could but many things are "learn on the job" type skills and so nothing. And yes, I've constantly asked throughout this entire year yet nothing has happened only promises that its coming soon or I'll be included in upcoming xyz.

Is the main advantage of applying to mba early simply to literally start making more sooner? Is it easier when you’re younger? I’m fortunately not in a rush to apply and I think next year my app will be stronger, my income is not gonna be much higher post mba, I’ll have another promotion, better recs, and less debt to take on. What am I missing?

A former Manager reached out about an e-commerce manager role for a relatively young company doing $35M/year. The role manages inventory on the site (20 skus), CRO, and Analytics plus the e-tailers (Amazon). They launched a site redesign and CVR tanked, but from what I gather they have too much of a focus on Paid Social and upper-funnel tactics. They’re hiring for a Demand Gen Analyst/Manager from a different manager. So, the roles report into different people. Question below:
