Hello Fishes, I am working in TCS as a Project Manager (Non IT banking project). YoE 10+, CCTC 9LPA. Want to get long term onsite opportunity by up-skilling myself. What tech stack should I choose to learn and whether it is possible to get long term onsite for a professional like me.Tata Consultancy

75k and 1.8k in rent. San Francisco. There is no wrong or right. I do this because I love this city and the people I have in it. And even I am still comfortable financially, so dude, you're fine.
This is totally reasonable. You probably have 4K in take home pay per month. 2.7k after rent. Save $0.5k every month. That leaves 2.2k for everything else which should be sufficient, especially if you're traveling and get to expense meals.
Yes you clearly do. You have to donate half of you salary.
I make double and pay triple. Each his own.
Definitely not. You're fine.
I pay $0. #HomelessLife
I make $75k and pay $1400 in rent. I don't plan to live like this forever but I'm young and want to be right in the city. You're fine
BCG2 if you are saving 70% you clearly are a cheap ass
89k and 1600 in rent. Fuck San Francisco
Sounds about par for the course in Chicago... maybe just a little above average, but all first year analysts in NYC are paying $1500+
Seems a bit high, but not outrageous. That kind of cost might be impacting your ability to save, though. $170k here with a $1300 mortgage - tho I'm probably a bit on he conservative side
Why am I living in NYC...
BCG2-
Where do you live? Missouri? What do you eat? Cereal?
Sounds reasonable
This from someone who saves 70% of his income
I think it's reasonable given that includes everything, wouldn't go higher though
I make 70k, pay 1.1k in rent. That's completely normal... but I also live in Texas with no income tax
You're fine
Sounds pretty normal considering the area
73K should give you around 4K in take home pay? With 2700 left over after rent, you should be saving at least a 1000 each month.
I make double and pay half. But then I live in suburb almost close to Wisconsin border.
