An important question! This question has been bugging me for quite sometime. We all here discuss openly about every possibilities of offers, compensations, perks, etc. But why don't have any discussion about how much do all these service based companies charge to the clients in foreign countries for the developers like us? Do we not have those senior level employees here who has such information or those who have such information don't want to share? Tata Consultancy Accenture Deloitte Infosys
Hi everyone, how much salary can I ask for an Associate position within Global Markets Operations at Goldman Sachs, London? I’ve got around 7.5 years of experience. I initially gave them range of GBP 80,000 - 85,000 but I feel this might be too low. I also have 2 other offers, both around the GBP 80,000 mark which Goldmans are aware of. Has anyone had any luck with salary negotiations with Goldman Sachs ? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Ideas on how to deal with micromanaging seniors?
Thinking of leaving audit after my second busy season . My main interest in accounting was always the forensic line but got recruited for audit. Now I feel this is the best time to transition. Any advice for someone who wants to start with CPE route instead of CPA (did it a couple of time and did not pass) seeing it as a sign to go for my main interest. Also do I look for position as senior or just Associate. PwC EY KPMG Deloitte

I get what you're saying, but I also kind of feel like you're an asshole
You're the kind of person everyone hates and you're life is probably miserable.
Someone born before 1981 is on this app?
It's not about the money, long commutes drains you
1) I am a millennial, but I am just disgusted with the lazy, entitled attitude that so many from our generation have when it comes to work. Everybody want to make money, nobody want to put in the work seems like. 2) A hotel room was offered to this person and they still refused.
The associate getting a hotel is a totally different situation than OP originally described. There's not enough people who say no to the long ass daily commute, but if you get a hotel that's more than reasonable. I also feel like OP is an asshole though who tries to distance themselves from the rest of the people their age. Being lazy/entitled isn't a millennial problem, but a problem with America in general.
You would give him a low evaluation and no bonus regardless so STFU!
That's an unreasonable commute to make. That's 2 hours each way on days with minimal traffic.
I have associates in my office with ridiculously low utilization who refuse to commute down two floors to work on the federal side of our department's major clients...why is it so hard to fire people?
Why are people being asses to OP? I don't think there's anything wrong with what OP said. The situation of the associate is like complaining how he's so fat and disgusting but then continue to binge eat. People like that just annoys me. If you want higher utilization, you make yourself available to whatever. When you aren't top rated, you can't really pick and choose your work. People nowadays just think everything is other people's fault. People, if you want top rating, you work for it. I'm a millennial and even I understand this simple concept.
*your
I our office, long client commutes are half chargeable half ort.
EY policy is you can get a hotel if your commute can add way to the client is 2+ hours. I've don the commute from central jersey to CT and it was miserable and took closer to 3 hours each way because of traffic getting into NY
HAHAH GOT HEEEM @Deloitte 1
Nah dude it's more about the toll it takes on you then the hours. We don't live to work, if you are drinking that kool-aid then by all means take pride in your 5 and your marginal salary increase over 3's and 4's...but don't hate on other people when they don't want to drive 2+hours everyday each way.
Sorry OP, the upvotes speak for themselves. You're an asshole.
That's ok PwC 2. Your inability to express your opinion on the issue other than with insults tells me all I need to know about you as well. So you're 3 yrs out of school and nowhere near as successful as you thought you'd be. No need to be salty toward others about it.
I had a 5 hours daily commute from central nj to midtown. It's exhausting. You will burn out. Find a job closer to home. There are many well paid jobs in nj. I wish I would have done that.
The bigger problem is our firms catering to lazy asses... how about instead of us hiring they flip some burgers at BK and then they start handing out some extra money to those of us that give a shit and are willing to work hard for a living? #thatswhatthemoney'sfor!!
@pwc5 you are gonna work hard for your extra $300 cause of internal competition, not cause they pay for performance. Big 4 is not a meritocracy.
