Assuming flexibility, how much time to leave b/w quitting and starting new job? Thinking a month would let me travel a bit and hopefully not get too bored...personal opinion for all, but curious

Budget withstanding, I'd say 3 to 4.

I think a month would be perfect. 2-3 weeks travel and then a week to gear up, take care of any appts, etc.

I would do 2 months! I know I could afford it and it would give an opportunity for travel, and then time to reset once back home and establish the good sleeping / eating / exercise routine I can never find time for!!

Budget not withstanding I'd take like 3-4 Months! Think to yourself how often before retirement will you ever get real 'time off' of this magnitude. Ofc if you need the $ then shorten it but that's just me

however much time you want, not what you think is fair

Not the question at all lol, just curious how much others would take assuming they could pick

My ideal would be 3 weeks

A couple weeks. Otherwise I’d feel rusty when I got back and worried technology passed me by. Also the gap in pay hurts when the bills come in and there’s not a corresponding paycheck. Ouch

Had a trip to Mexico booked last year for New Year’s Eve with SO, we canceled when covid really was up ticking in the fall and received vouchers for everything. We rebooked a month back assuming covid was tamed but now with delta I’m really nervous. I’m vaccinated but the reports rn with breakthroughs aren’t great. We would be leaving for Mexico this coming weekend. We don’t have time to rebook given the timelines of our vouchers. I can’t decide if we should go or just eat the trip at this point

Ex-bf posted on social media to say he was so turned on thinking about new gf during an international flight that he went to the restroom so he could [ahem ahem], then he used the resulting “fluids” to draw a heart on the bathroom mirror. HE DREW IT WITH HIS STUFF. Important context: he’s 33 freaking years old, has PhD, and we broke up partly because he couldn’t express affection. So, this is… evidence of personal growth?!🥴 I can’t even be jealous because I’m just so like wtf, 🤮🙄🤦‍♀️!

I’m interviewing for a role that is open to both remote and in-office (when it’s safe) work. Should I give salary expectations based on cost of living in the city where the office is located or based on where I’d live working remotely? Cost of living in the office location is a lot higher than where I’d live but since they are also considering in-person candidates, I know the budget is there.
