Need advice. Leadership originally referred to us as Specialists. For the past month or so, they've been telling us we're Project Managers in absolutely no uncertain terms.

But they have told us flat-out (even when asked directly) that we won't get a salary change or even just a title change. What should we do? It seems unethical at the very least.

Hey Guys, Currently I am having 16.12 lac pa in current organization and 5% Bonus So total comes around 16.93lac pa. Nagarro is asking me to rejoin at 20 lac pa (5% Project bonus included).
When I left Nagarro around 2 years back my fixed there was 11.50. Shall I consider this offer of Nagarro. Reason I want to change the job is because I don't have code based automation in my current organization and I have been an SDET in my whole experience.

How much should first year raise be on a $60-70k base salary? The average says 3-5%🤔

Howdy, I just received and offer from Boeing for an Electrical Systems Engineer 2 position. Location is Oklahoma City.

Offer is for 89k, no sign on bonus or signing extras.

Previously I worked for another large electronics company making 93k, in Tulsa Oklahoma, with stock bonuses putting me just over 100k. I moved to Oklahoma city in the start of 2022 to be closer to family and took a pay cut to 70k.

I countered with a request for 95k and some extra PTO days. Is this reasonable? Thoughts?

Not giving first number is a frequently mentioned tip but it’s not always good advice. I know several people who followed this rule and simply got offered lowballs with slight to no room for negotiation.

If you have some data on possible ranges, I think it’s better to give the number you want first. I’ve had recruiters say they can’t meet that and we don’t proceed, saving us both time. And if they can, then it’s less likely to be lowball.

Do you adhere to not giving a number first?

Anybody sick of lateral moves? Was IT EnG. Moving to this country I started as a Manufacturing Technician and in a year or so moved to Operational Manager. Didn’t know better and that was a lateral move hoping for better. Covered a lot of areas and people successfully for a thanks. Fast forward almost 8 years later I stepped down from manager to process engineer for being paid less than my techs. This is another lateral move. I’m still at same tech grade in a salary position. I'm being promoted to a DevOps Manager role with 2 direct reports. I don't know the pay increase yet, is this a time where I can negotiate and ask for more. In my mind I'm expecting a 30% increase based on market.
