Get used to it. No more access starting the 18th

like

Sheraton was always for platinum or above unless you paid extra for the club room. Don’t blame the merger for this one.

like

For SPG, you need to be plat to enter lounges. Would suggest reading up on the new program to understand what benefits you get at which level

like

Yup! Thanks to SPG/Marriott merger.

funny

Lmao

I thought Sheraton lounge was always platinum unless you’re on a club floor

When I was gold, I had to pay up $30/night for lounge access. Was worth it to me, esp when I had to work from the room and needed a change of pace. One reason I really fight for platinum every year, even though I'm local. Still need the perks!

No. Right now gold gets you into Sheraton lounges. Maybe back when you were gold it was like that but I'm gold right now and in a Sheraton.

Might depend on the property. Not sure.

C1, you either booked a club room or they extended a courtesy to you. On the spg site, the rules are clear

No. Not in a club room eating bfast in the club rn. 3rd time at this hotel. Same deal at a Marriott the other week

Congrats C1, you got lucky at those two hotels. The rules clearly state you have to be Platinum, though some hotels may allow Golds in as a courtesy (not because they have to)

I've got a taste now. They can't kick me out

And when I called SPG they said the account maintenance wasn’t ready so to call back

Thoughts on the proposed JetBlue -Spirit Merger?

I used to be a big fan of Jetblue(nyc based), but lately I feel like the airline is just as bad as the low cost ones. Old aircrafts, canceled and delayed flights. I can see why it’s important for JetBlue to have this merger for their relevance in this field.

I‘m moving to Australia with my partner and we don’t have a bank account and credit cards yet.
