How demanding is it for SC non advisory at big4? I'm mostly at ~45/week with some months of 60. Would i be giving up a lot of me hours for the pay bump?",

Why not just move into private industry? Honestly in this market, most companies will look at your public accounting experience as very similar to that of a Big-4 auditor. Companies are begging for senior accountants right now.
I currently have both on background. I was in private while going to school. Then went to public when I got my BA.
How many yoe in public do you think it makes candidates look good on paper?
At your current hours described, you can expect a similar work life balance. The months of 60 may turn into months of 80-90. Depending on your client mix, you may have more or less months like that

Your post said NON-ADVISORY ( advisory generally means consulting). What do you mean if not audit and tax? Also why B4 only if not audit and tax? Also why didn’t you go that route out of school?
I guess it's how we see it at our firm. There's strategic advisory and then there's accounting consulting.

It's a thing for accounting
You’re looking at accounting / tax roles? Probably 45ish hours on average if you’re good at your job, closer to 60 hours during busy season
If it’s an actual strategy consulting role, 55-60hr is the standard baseline up to 80s if you’re on DDs. Going to better tier firms means more hours but much better pay and exits (typically)
