Does anyone know if the same 401k rules apply at EY as Accenture so they will cap the contributions coming for your check say if you hit the yearly limits in August? So if you hit the 22,500 in 23 there is no way to go over for tax issues. Thinking to frontload next year contributions if market is down. EY

Yeah “work from the hotel”. Work out. Sleep. Explore. Etc
Fly home.
Work at a cafe and explore the client city.
BA1 missed the part where OP said "literally no work."
OP sounds like you have bad leadership on your project or a miserable client that makes you travel even on short weeks.

Have a discussion to leave Tuesday evening. Saves them the cost of another hotel night and hopefully avoids the worst of the Wednesday travel insanity. I have successfully avoided Thanksgiving travel for many years now, except for international crisis projects where I worked the full week then made up the holiday time later. But by default, try not to travel this week in the future if you can - it’s likely a waste of time and money.

No one should travel this week unless it is absolutely necessary to sell new work. Other responses on this thread are hilarious.
Training, internal project work, research, build a training VM,... Always plenty to do.

@M1 - Nope. I caught it. I’ve also dealt with junior ppl that sit around like knots on a log until someone tells them to do something. May be the case here. Maybe not. I’m the type of person that believes there is always something to be done. Just not many people that realize that it needs to be done
Knot/bump/lump on a log is a phrase not so commonly used anymore that means a person is useless, unresponsive, or unwilling to help.
“Jimmy just sat like a knot on a log while we finished stacking the wood."
