I’m 23 and I wanna retire

Far too early to call it! It’s funny cause I know a few people who have retired and they couldn’t sit still. They’re now just running around as independents charging $8k a day working just as hard as they did pre-retirement 😂 I think people have a romanticised idea of retirement, but quickly realise they have nothing better to do but work. They don’t realise how much their career defined them, and when they stop, they lose that part of their identity.

On track for 54. Would be 49, but given the massive uncertainty around future higher ed costs, I want to get my youngest through at least his junior year before retiring. When I say retire, I mean from a full time day job, I've got some side hustles that I intend to keep that will keep me in good part time employment through my "retirement" years.

My dream world is when I was born but didn't get a wealthy family at birth so..... 35 for frugal living Then part time work or my "real passion" after until 60

The grind at 40

One is when I'm financially independent. The other when I can't continue on in life

When I hit $10m so probably 60 😭

When I hit 3 mil, hopefully by 40

52

Would love to retire at 55

Hoping and planning for later this year (I am 45)

Goal is 40, but 42 is what I am on track for.

Thoughts on Indexed Universal Life Insurance as an investment vehicle? I hear the pros and cons from the sellers of this, whom I understand gain heavy commissions. But wanted to get thoughts from investors and if this isn't a good vehicle, what alternative investment vehicles do you suggest (outside of stocks, Roth, 401k, and real estate)? Looking to diversify my portfolio. I'm 43, married, income 600k combined, and we have 2 properties worth 3m and investment accounts worth ~2-3m. Thanks!

My income is $6 away from the next tax bracket(32%). Any ideas on how to lower my taxable income? Last year, my additional source of income(cd accts, robinhood) net out to be 8k. So i know this will take me over to the next tax bracket. Currently, I do put 6k in ira, 3500 in hsa, do roth contribution 14% towards my 401k. Also, pay ~30k/year tuition for my grad schooI(dont think this helps lowering my tax?) anything that I am missing to lower my taxable income? What else do you do?

First time leaving firms - not sure what to do with my 401k. Should I keep it as it is, transfer to an IRA, or a Roth IRA. If it is the latter, I know Roth IRA has a 6k limit but my 401k has ~17k. Will it exceed the limit and if so, what should I do? 22 here, not too familiar with the process. Thanks!

Beginner and trying to get my finances in order. Income: $200k+. Maxed out 401k for the year. I have $60k in my savings account (just paid student debt off this year). I’ve searched the bowl… Are next steps: (a) invest (maybe $30k?) in ETFs and add to it each month, (b) open a HYS at HMBradley to hopefully get a high interest next quarter? I’m not convinced about the mega back door Roth (whether it makes sense for my situation) so putting in only a small amount there. Any thoughts? TIA!
