In your 20’s - mid to late but every decade the quality of your eggs lower
Call a fertility center or ask your doctor. They have to do tests to assess your number and quality of your remaining eggs
How do you assess the quality of a fertility center?
35.

There are different perspectives on this. Here are the 3 scenarios I’ve heard the most.
1. For cost perspective, the “right” age to freeze your eggs is 35-37. There’s a fertility diminishment and quality issue that hits hard in the late 30’s.
2. For health reasons, cancer treatment, etc, do it before you have cancer treatment as some will have negative impacts on your fertility. Insurance will usually cover egg freezing if it’s related to a health issue.
3. As young as possible because the number of eggs and quality of eggs will be higher than later.
It will depend on your situation, finances, and life situation. Have your fertility doctor do a test on your ovarian reserves. Some freeze theirs early then find their mate and start a family naturally. Others run into health scares and starting a family is secondary to survival. There are those of us who chose poorly in marriage and have hope for a different future.
I froze mine at 38. Did 3 rounds. It was expensive, but I was also further along in my career.
If you can do it around 30 I would. The abnormality rate of eggs (on average) gets way higher between 30 and 35.
