When I got promoted and went from 98k-120k and had just cleared all of my debt around the same time.
Pro
I’ve always maxed out my 401K, even when I was only making 44K (to be fair that was 30 years ago so money value and contribution limits have changed a lot since then).
I did when I was making $54k as a staff 1 in 2016. I didn’t have any debt. Because I traveled a lot for work, basically all my weekday and some weekend meals were paid for either by the firm or with rewards points. I had roommates at the time, so housing cost was low too.
